Improved public transport & cycling lanes
Our buses and trains are unreliable and patchy. This matters for young people who don’t drive, for older people who can’t drive anymore, and for anyone who prioritises our environment. We need direct buses to the Royal Hallamshire and Northern General hospitals for all areas in this ward. We all end up going to hospital and we shouldn't have to pay for a taxi to benfit for the NHS.
We should be able to cycle into the city safely, joined-up cycle lanes would make a huge difference.
These directly link with other concerns local people have raise, the decline of our city centre, congestion, speeding, the environment, and air quality. If Sheffield could improve its transport and cycle infrastructure, we could transform our culture and our reputation. Imagine Sheffield becoming a city known for clean air, safe roads, and excellent transport.
